In addition to providing members with timely and relevant Human Resource info, the monthly meeting of the Merrimack Valley Chambers MVHRA also present an opportunity for networking among HR Professionals and a cross section of MVCC Business men and women.

MVCC Clean Energy Program

The Merrimack Valley Chambers Clean Energy Program (MVCCEP) Assisted 40+ Member Companies throughout the Merrimack Valley become more energy efficient.  Collectively these companies will save $30,000,000.00 over the next 30 Years through Energy Savings!

The MVCC was awarded the following awards for the MVCCEP:

  • The United States Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Merit Award – “For outstanding efforts in preserving New England’s environment”
  • The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy National Conference Presenter – “Partnerships in efficiency to benefit regional businesses-a case study”
  • The Northeaster Economic Developers Association Program of the Year Award – “Recognizing effectiveness and efficiency in addressing a clear objective: sustained implementation over time; demonstrated results; strategic thinking and rigorous approach; stakeholder involvement and community partnership building; and clear economic benefit.”

The Largest Solar project in both Haverhill and Lawrence have been successful spinoffs of the Merrimack Valley Chamber Clean Energy Program.  Join the MVCC for the Clean Energy and Environmental Conference which is an Annual Event for the Merrimack Valley Chamber.  Past Speakers have included the Massachusetts Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs and Members of the U.S. Congress.

Spring and Fall
Business Expos

The Merrimack Valley Chamber has two Business to Business Expo Trade Shows with a Health and Wellness component.  The first is held in the Spring of each year and the second is held in the Fall.  The Expo provides Members with a cost effective way to promote their products and/or services.  The MVCC, as part of the Expo day, hosts a Business Breakfast, VIP Program Speaker(s) at the Luncheon and a close of show Complimentary Members Appreciation Business Networking Mixer.

Series and Conference

The MVCC Health Care Series brings forward programs periodically throughout the year that focus on timely Healthcare related issues presented by knowledgeable speakers who are experts in their field.

Speakers have included Christie Hager, President Barack Obamas New England Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Andrew Dreyfus, President/CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mass; Eric Schultz, President and CEO Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare; James Roosevelt, President and CEO of Tufts Health Pan; The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Secretary of Health and Human Services among many other Prominent Speakers.

The Merrimack Valley Government Affairs Committee purpose is to bring together local, state and federal legislators, administrators and decision-makers to meet face to face with business and community leaders and dicuss critical issues important to you and your business city.

Annual Dinner

The Merrimack Valley Chamber Annual Dinner is a celebration and recognition of the membership and work of the Chamber! Traditionally, attended by Five Hundred guests, it is also the time where the MVCC recognizes its Wilkinson Award recipient (Recognized for Community dedication and involvement) and the Community Spirit Award is presented (Awarded for work in the Community). A spring time celebration which is open to all members!

Informational TV Show

The Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce local Cable TV Program entitled Merrimack Valley Chamber Means Business is viewed on several local cable networks and is growing daily.

Guests have included Governor Deval Patrick; Boston Mayor Thomas Menino; Members of the U.S. Congress; Boston Bruins Legend Ray Bourque among many others.  The Chamber’s informative programs bring local, State and Federal Public and Private Newsmakers to the Merrimack Valley with the goal of informing our members and the community with their future plans.

Women in Business Series and Annual Conference

The Merrimack Valley Chamber’s Women in Business Series promotes opportuties for Women in Business to network, mentor, connect and learn from other Women in Business whether starting out or simply facing a question or problem.

MVCC hosts quarterly Women in Business speaker series and the annual Women in Business Conference – keynoted by US Congresswoman Niki Tsongas.
